PIPA and SOPA

Hello people of the Internet! To day I will be talking about PIPA and SOPA.

Ok so PIPA and SOPA are bills that wanted to Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA). So that sounds awesome and good! Well those bills would give the government the power to shut down any website that had copy right material that could be downloaded or watched with out paying or any website they don’t like. Bet that changes your view on those bills.  So if I put a link in this blog to YouTube then my blog would be gone! They want to police the whole Internet. Ok so one of the main reasons for this bill was even written is because Hollywood was throwing a hissy fit cause people could watch their movies, and shows and download their music. So Hollywood goes to the government and is all mad so the governments like “lets shut down the internet” Cause essentially that’s what they are trying to do.  The reason it pertains to you is because essentially any thing that is a commercial website (.com) would probably be shut down. Google and Wikipedia got so mad that they shut down they went dark for twenty-four hours. Do you remember that? (Cause I don’t but it did happen.)   I know I’m dissing this a lot but it really is supposed to be a good thing. It’s supposed to protected peoples Intellectual Property or their ideas. Which sounds really good but they’re going to misuse it. I honestly think if they want to police the internet then they should just remove the copyrighted idea if credit is not given where credit is do.
